What chart type are you using and what chart type do you need to use? My first thought is to use an XY scatter plot (not line). XY scatter easily uses a different "X Values" range for each data series and places them correctly along the X axis.

Re: showing the 2 chart line with 2 difference time sampling interval in one graph

What does a line chart offer that an XY scatter does not that suggests to you that you require a line and not an XY scatter? If I understand your requirements, this should be very easy with a scatter chart, but will be somewhat difficult with a line chart, so I want to be sure I understand your requirements.

If there is a chance you are uncertain of the similarities between XY scatter and line chart types, I would recommend this page http://peltiertech.com/Excel/ChartsH...ValueAxis.html and http://peltiertech.com/line-charts-vs-xy-charts/

Re: showing the 2 chart line with 2 difference time sampling interval in one graph

I know that i can show two line in scatter line but what can i do with the date change AS BELOW when the date change all the next hour heights are shown in previous 24th hour of the day before
That suggests to me that you are storing your dates and times in separate columns, instead of combining them into a single date+time serial number -- it can be difficult to see when all you are giving us is copied text into the forum.

    1) I would suggest that you start by studying a page like this http://www.cpearson.com/Excel/datetime.htm#SerialDates until you have a good understanding of how Excel stores dates and times as serial numbers.
    2) Check your date and time columns to make sure they are real dates/times and not text string that look like dates and times. You can use the ISTEXT() and/or the ISNUMBER() functions (https://support.office.com/en-us/art...1-63f26a86c0eb under Information functions). I like to temporarily remove the date time formatting so I can see the underlying serial number, too (number format dialog -> set to General).
2a) If they are text and not numbers, then you need to figure out why they are text. Remove and leading trailing spaces/non-printing characters. A VALUE() function DATEVALUE() or TIMEVALUE() (see above help file under Date/Time functions) may be useful here.
    3) Combine Date and Time into a single column. Once you know that they are real date and time values, this should be as easy as =datecell+timecell. You also might visit the data entry/data importation step and see if you can have the data entered/imported in a way that combines data and time correctly at that point.
    4) Once date and time are correctly combined, a simple scatter plot should do the job.

Re: showing the 2 chart line with 2 difference time sampling interval in one graph

I was finally able to find this thread, that includes a sample sheet I created to show how to plot date+time information on a scatter chart. http://www.excelforum.com/excel-char...ly-0-00-a.html
Note how my spreadsheet has both date and time in the same cell (as date/time serial numbers). My sample only shows one data series. Two data series should be accomplished by simply adding a second data series (both y and x values) to the chart.

hi thank you so much for your help and the time you devoted for helping me
as you said i combined to first column to get one column and cutomised it in mm/d/yyyy h:mm format
but i want exactly as your excel worksheet(mrshorty.....xls) scatter graph
my x axis is labled with number not with my date time column it could be because of my axis format i saw that your x axis format is different and fixed date time(serial date)
    please help me

Re: showing the 2 chart line with 2 difference time sampling interval in one graph

my x axis is labled with number not with my date time
Without seeing your spreadsheet, I cannot say with certainty what you are doing to cause this. The first reason I think of for this is that there is text somewhere in either of your X values ranges. A single text value in either X-values range can cause Excel to treat them as count numbers rather than the actual date/time values. Perhaps you are using a formula for these and, in the shorter data set, it is returning empty string "" or space " " for the missing data points. These are text strings that will cause problems for your chart (if this is the case, then I recommend this essay http://peltiertech.com/mind-the-gap-...g-empty-cells/ ).

My first recommendation is to go through your x-values very carefully and make sure there are no text strings or other non-numeric data in those ranges.
