Formula to make a cell return a list of currently selected filters from a table column.

Hello everyone,

I'm having some difficulties trying to figure this one out. I'm trying to create a cell that dynamically updates and reads what filters are currently selected on a specific column within a table.

For example, suppose I have a table of data that contains a "STATUS" column. Within the status column, I have 6 different values: BUILDING, REVIEWED, SENT, PENDING, RETURNED, and COMPLETE. Suppose I wanted to view only PENDING and COMPLETE items within this column, I would open the filters for it and deselect the remaining filters.

How would I create a cell that returns a list of the currently selected filters? In my example, my desired cell would read, "PENDING, COMPLETE."

I'm just beginning to use Excel again, so I apologize if this is a stupid question.

So I suggest wrapping your dataset in a table. Then using slicers as this will give you visual representation of the filters you have and have not selected.
