    show date holidays taken

im currently working on a time sheet for the office what im trying to do is to return a date if yes in column J

    example

    Date column A - 3/6/16 cell J7 - Yes

Date Column A - 4/6/16 Cell j8 - this is blank unless employee has taken a days holiday

so when im assuming i need an if formula? - if j7:j12 = Yes then it will show date 3/6/16 and nothing when its blank.

way down the sheet i have the headings in row A618:L618 so the above example would shown the date 3/6/16 under the June Column

i only want it to show the date nothing else

    Hi Patcheen,

I think the attached spreadsheet achieves what you're looking for? It uses a combination of the IF, INDEX and SMALL functions.

    Re: show date holidays taken

I've created May's for you, you just need to replicate it for the other months. I had to make a couple of changes to your spreadsheet:

    - Changed column A to dates and formatted them as day names.
    - Inserted a helper column in column J.
    - Unmerged some cells.

    Hope this helps.
