    Updating data on linked spreadsheets

    Hi all,

I have section of a worksheet linked to another workbook, and I want changes in the original (source) material to update the target (linked) workbook wholly, not only the linked part. the target document contains data already.

When the first workbook gets updated, only the linked part gets automatically updated, and the remaining data is left as it was. For instance when new row is added to the first workbook, only the columns linked with the 1st workbook have new row added automatically and not the rest of the columns.

I have used the connection function and simple copy/paste (but pasted with links so it's dynamically updated). in both cases I have the same issue and don't know how to resolve it.

Has anyone came across this before?

    Help please

in the attachments example 2 is shown the issue I'm getting - so no new rows added on the right, Example 1 is a mock up, with empty rows added on the right. I was unable to attach excel as the files are too big

Attach a sample workbook. Make sure there is just enough data to demonstrate your need. Include a BEFORE sheet and an AFTER sheet in the workbook if needed to show the process you're trying to complete or automate. Make sure your desired results are shown, mock them up manually if necessary.

    Remember to desensitize the data.
