    Question Auto Filling Column

I have a document with over 44000 lines each with a cost center associated. I want to take the cost center number on Excel doc A, match it to the cost center name on Excel doc B and have the cost center name match and auto populate in a new column on Excel doc A. Is this possible?

    Welcome to the forum.

Yeah, it sounds like you are looking to use the formula VLOOKUP.

Can you post a sample workbook? Make sure there is just enough data to demonstrate your need. Include a BEFORE sheet and an AFTER sheet in the workbook if needed to show the process you're trying to complete or automate. Make sure your desired results are shown, mock them up manually if necessary.

    Remember to desensitize the data.

    Re: Auto Filling Column

To make sure I am clear, are you indicating that there is no unique key in which one of the documents has ALL of one dimension (like cost center)?
It appears that Doc A and Doc B have their own cost centers. Is this the case, or is this just because of the quick sample you pulled together?
