    count and sum base on reference name

    good day all

    PFA..in sheet named AUg 2016 plz use column E,F and H, want results in sheet 1 that column B (Approved By) Q'ty and Amount as per their heading

    I'm not clear what you meant by quantity, but I have assumed it is the number of lines that make the total

    Quantity (in E3, copy & paste to other columns)
    =COUNTIFS('Aug,2016'!$H:$H,Sheet1!$B3,'Aug,2016'!$E:$E,Sheet1!E$1)

    Amount (in f3, copy & paste to other columns)
    =SUMIFS('Aug,2016'!$F:$F,'Aug,2016'!$H:$H,Sheet1!$B3,'Aug,2016'!$E:$E,Sheet1!E$1)

    find on the internet a movie or book about pivot table.

    it is a very powerfull tool which expands in every new version of excel.

    i have a some idea of pivot table but not most advance, if you are referring me some new version or tool regarding this than pl share some link..?? or this is all under pivot table just i need find the idea..?

    Please Login or Register  to view this content.
    Correct, this is all under pivot table.

    But as already added MS expand the tools of the pivot table in each new version of excel.
