First date in specific time period based on today's date

    Hi all,

I use the below formula to return the first day of the current year quarter
    Formula: copy to clipboard

So today this formula will return 1st July 2016.

What I now need are two more formuas to perform similar tasks. One to return the first day of the current "year half" and the other to return the first date of the current year. Complication is I'm working with financial years not calendar years.

So for year half today would return 1st April 2016. Start date for the second half of the financial year would be 1st October.

And for the current year it would be 1st April and the current year if today's date falls in Apr - Dec and 1st April and last year if today's date falls in Jan - Mar.

    Many thanks in advance.

    B

If today is 01/01/2017, this gives 01/10/2017 as the result of the first formula, where it should be 01/10/2016, shouldn't it?
