    Excel Vlookup with Partial Text Match

    Hi,

    Please tell how to perform vlookup in below scenario.

    Sheet 1
    Col A:

    A1: my name is #asb#
    A2: I live in #123#
    A3: I work as #hgs# with #456#.

    And I have to bring below data in front of correspondent cells of above table;

    Sheet 2

    Col A:

    A1: my name is Vizal
    A2: I live in #Austin
    A3: I work as IT Manager with Soil Tech.

    Sheet 1 may contains following record.

    A4: #456# are my hobbies.

    Sheet 2:

    A4: Playing football and reading science fiction books are my hobbies.

    Version 2010 using formulas this is as close as I can think of as to how you could accomplish what you are asking.
    The statements "My name is " etc. are on sheet 1.
    The fill in information "Visal" etc. is on sheet 3.
    The formulas that populate sheet 2 are in the form: =Sheet1!A1&Sheet3!A1
    The deviation is with the third statement where information is stored in sheet1 B3 and sheet3 B3 and the formula on sheet2 is:
