XIRR - historical IRR calc over time

I am trying to calculated XIRR values over time for each of the following dates:

is there an easy way to do this without VBA?

maybe my attached pic doesn't show up properly. given the following cash flows:
A B (cash flows) C (current value) D (rate of return)
1/1/1990 100 100
6/1/1990 200 305
8/1/1990 400 760
9/1/1990 900 1800

... I want to solve for the rate of return in column D as if I had sold all assets for the current value (C) at the end of each period. In this case, i have 4 scenarios. each of which i make various contributions and sell at one final date that varies.
