Auto decrease quantity of an item when the item is sold.

Hello everyone , i am very new to the whole excel world and still trying to get the hang of it.

    I made 2 worksheets.
Worksheet 1 has the client names on column A and i want to put the order on column B.
Worksheet 2 has Item names (ex. Mouse, keyboard , microphone) on column A and quantity is column B.

What i want is when lets say client X buys a keyboard the quantity of the keyboard column to decrease automatically so with a quick look i know how many of that item i have left.

    Thanks in advance.

My recommendation is worksheet 2 has 4 columns.

    Item
    Purchases QTY
    Sold QTY
    Open Inventory

So, the SOLD column would use a COUNTIF() formula to give a total of items sold on sheet1.
The Open Inventory column would show the remaining items (purchases-sold)
