    I need to create a more intuitive look up.

    The place I pull the data from in D7:G19 may or may NOT always be there. What I mean is that one day it might start in D7 but other days it might start in D19 or D12 or even D100. What I need is for the formula to take A2 (which will always be there) and FIND in column D and then get the last price. Again the location of the data will change BUT it will ALWAYS be in in column D and Last will always be 4 to the right.

    =INDEX($G:$G,MATCH(A2,$D:$D,0))

    =INDEX(G:G,LOOKUP(2,1/(D8:D1000=A2),ROW(D8:D1000)))

    Just use the entire columns as the range:

    =VLOOKUP(A2,D:G,4,0)
    Biff
    Microsoft MVP Excel
