Help in creating multiple dependant drop downs

Hi there,
I have a nutritional calculator where in user manually inputs the required amount of a food item and the corresponding food item is then selected from a drop down list. This user then wants to calculate nutritional values of all the food items he is going to eat on a specific day.
I have used the vlookup function to extract the nutritional information of that item and all of this information is stored in another sheet named "database".

Now this is what I want to do:
1. Create two database sheets. One sheet will have food items that are for vegans and another sheet for non vegetarians.
2. When user selects "vegans", the drop down menu should only show food items that are for vegans.
