    how to sum up amount of books' price using "x" marked?

    hi guys,
    i had created a table of students' name with the amount they should paid after the books' prices .how to make excel sum up the books prices automatically after i key in "x" marked according book's title?please help.

    Try

    =SUMIF(I6:AE7,"X",$I$4:$AE$5)

    Any reason why you have merged 2 rows for each student rather than increase row height?

    You could use this, =SUMIF(I6:AE6,"x",$I$4:$AE$4) but I would get rid of the merged cells, they'll likely create problems.
