How to get Background Color in Index

Hi.. am Elango. I have a doubt in excel as below
I have a Excel with 10 sheets with different data's at Revision 0. Now i have created a summery sheet with "indirect" formula.
Now i need to revise few data's of the sheets and mark as Red fill color( to identify it is revision 1). The values get updated in the summery sheet automatically. But i also need the red color to be automatically updated in summery sheet. Is there any way possible ?

Attach a sample workbook. Make sure there is just enough data to demonstrate your need. Include a BEFORE sheet and an AFTER sheet in the workbook if needed to show the process you're trying to complete or automate. Make sure your desired results are shown, mock them up manually if necessary.

    Remember to desensitize the data.

Click on GO ADVANCED and then scroll down to Manage Attachments to open the upload window.

Hi John, thanks for your reply. I have attached a sample work sheet. In table 2 yellow highlighted are my revised data's. So in the Index values are updated due to formulas, but i also need this yellow color should also updated automatically in index.
    Thanks

    Not clear to me:

I assume Table 2 is "revision 1" :if so, perhaps rename tabs to "Revision 1" , "Revision 2" etc

Do you want to highlight changes between "Table 1" and "Table 2" in Table 2 as indicated by the yellow cells in "Table 2"?

What about revisions in future tables: do we need to compare current revision vs (just) the previous?

In "INDEX" (your summary): are the factors shown the only ones of interest? why is "Flow Rate Case !" retrieving data from Q2 while Cases 2 & 3 are Q14?

And please do not merge cells as merged cells cause many problems when using formulae: simply extend column width.

Attached has Conditional Formatting in "INDEX": is this what is required?

Re: How to get Background Color in Index

Hi John, Ignore the previous sample. I think it was confusing. Refer my revised Sample. Table 1 and Table 2 are data's of 2 different pipes.
But table 2 is with a revised data where i have highlighted in yellow.
Now if you see My index there is no yellow color,
but what i expect is the yellow color should automatically upadated(Refer Expected index).

Index with flow rates is only sample for easy understanding, i will be adding a lot more columns and rows in future.

I cant keep as single cells, because these format are downloaded from our software.

Yes the format you have attached is what i need, but i will be adding a lot more columns and rows. with more revision with different colors.

    the CF I used

    .."Use a formula ......."

    =AND($D3<>"",$D3<>$D2)

    Select "Format" then "Fill"

Can be applied across any number of columns: just change D to E to F ..... and select your required "FILL" colour

Set "Applies to" to your range e.g $D$3:$D$100

You have compared the values of table 1 and table 2. But what i need is if i change a cell color in table 2 or 1, this has to reflect in index, This is what i need.

You cannot reflect a colour change using formulae ... and I am not sure if you can do it with VBA.
