I need help with creating a first names salutation ?
I have salutation in column A
Last name in column B
First name(s) in column C
How do I make a salutation for each one, I have about 500 names?
Will I have to type in each individually??

I think you would have to created a table for gender.
Maybe something like this...

If I could just use first names like Dear Amy & John

I want the salutation column to say:
Dear Emily
Dear Charlotte & Jim
Try

This formula entered in C2 and copied down:

Enter the formula in cell A2 then just drag copy down the column as needed:

Thank you so much that worked!!! this might be pushing it but is there a way to replace their first names and put Dear Mr. & Mrs _____ ? or would that need the gender thing?
Can you post a SMALL sample file and show us what result you expect?
A SMALL file will have about 20 rows worth of data.

Scroll down until you see the Manage Attachments link and click that
Click the Browse button and select your file
Click the Open button
Click the Upload button
Click the Close Window button
Click the Submit Reply button
Make sure you show us what results you expect.
Post #3 demonstrates how this might be done: you will need a "gender" column.
