3. Against (2) Create drop-down in 3rd column as Dependent 2. . I.e, If I select “A“ and “D” respectively in column 1 and 2,the drop down in 3rd column should display “S” and “T”. If I select “B“ and “G” respectively in column 1 and 2,the drop down in 3rd column should display “Y” and “Z”

Attached is a sample file I put together to show how to do exactly what you want. It uses named ranges for each group and sub-group, and uses INDIRECT to reference those ranges

    1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)

    Dear Ford,

Thank you very much for the quick support. The "Main type" and "Sub-type 1" is working fine, but the "Sub-type 2" is not displaying anything. Could you please check it once.

Once again thank you for the quick support.

    Regards,
    TJ

Re: 3 level dependent drop-down list in excel

    Hi All,

This is my first ever post so apologies if I am not following correct etiquette.

I am trying to solve a similar issue (dependent drop down lists) from the attached document.
when selecting category grass, I would like only those products in that category to show in the product dropdown menu and then only those item descriptions pertaining to the two previous drop down menus to show in the third drop down menu.

    I hope this makes sense.

    Thanks in advance
