    Thumbs up Auto Updating of available data after inclusion of new items and exclusion of old items.

    Hi,
    I am conducting a study of the weather conditions prevailing in the Indian cities.
    Among other things I collect monthly data on the high low temperatures recorded during the earlier months.
    Every month the High, Low data so collected is separated and recorded separately in the different excel sheets.
    The collection/addition of data would continue in succession every month.
    I want to compare and conduct a study of the data restricting the period to the last six months, for which the data relating to the last six months upto November is separated from the whole data and placed in an excel sheet titled “six month data-upto november” and colored blue for easy reference.
    Now my requirement is as follows:
    1) The collection/addition of data for every month would continue in succession and the High low data so collected would get placed in the High, Low excel sheets.
    2) In the instant example, I as add the data(High Low weather data) relating to December month in the High, Low excel sheets I want the six monthly data to get updated automatically showing the latest “six month data upto-December” .
    3) ie., the data relating to the last six months immediately preceding December has to be obtained as shown in the answer sheet titled “six month data-revised-december” and colored in yellow for easy reference.
    4) I want to have an automated solution as narrated above, so that I can expand my study to cover more cities on various parameters and also collect data for daily intervals (instead of the monthly interval as in above).
    5) The raw High Low data collected for the current month of December is placed in a separate sheet and the following excel sheets have to update itself from the excel sheet titled “raw High Low data collected for December “ as narrated below:
    a) Monthly high-data sheet, monthly low-data sheets have to update their content by opening an additional column for the newly added month, viz., December.
    b) Excel sheet titled “six month data-upto november” has to update its content by deleting its first month values viz., Jun-High, Jun-Low and substitute the same by adding Dec-High, Dec-Low as its last column as presented in answer sheet titled “six month data-revised-december”.

    If you are collecting more than one year's data, you need to differentiate (identify) the year: I recommend the months are proper Excel dates, formatted as "mmm-yy".

    Titles such as "June - Low" are redundant: the tab name identifies the data as high or low.

    Why not simply add the appropriate dates now to existing sheets (Monthly High/Low) which can be filled as the new raw data is collected?

    If you want to change tab names/colour you will need VBA

    If we are updating a single tab, why change the colour?
