Index formula help needed Please.

Good Afternoon,

I am trying to use an index formula to pull an employee number from an employee list when a specific manager and region are chosen. I have tried different index formulas but they are all coming back with a #value error. I have attached a spreadsheet for review. Any help would be appreciated.

Are you trying to return all Sine numbers for the Manager and Region chosen?

An INDEX() formula will return one name. If you want a list then you should be using an Advanced Data Filter.

Try that out first and if you're still struggling manually add the results you expect to see and upload the workbook again.

In Sheet3!C2 and Sheet3!C3 you must use a space after "Northeast" and a space after "Southeast"

or

you must change All Regions in Employee List!E2:E152 using in F2 =TRIM(E2) and copy down. Then copy this column to E2:E152

I need the formula to return all sine numbers for the specific Manager and Region. Would it then be an array formula instead of index?

I have update your column A and E in 'Employee List' with TRIMed values.

Note:Array formula must be enter with (CTRL+SHIFT+ENTER)
