IF formula to copy text across?

Hi all, hope someone can help?

I have a spreadsheet with several worksheets in - the first is a classic summary page that pulls totals/information from the other sheets.

However I'm stuck on a formua - which MAY be IF or something else.

Basically, in the summary sheet in C16 I want some text copied across from another sheet that is date related. So for example.

If the date in column A in worksheet 2 is between 01/01/17 and 31/12/17 copy the company name and won date into cell C16 and D16 of the summary sheet.

Does that make sense at all??
