help in substitute function / formulae

cells have data such as 0.45.5
i used substitute function to make them as 0.455

when a cell contains no data (blank) it brings "value" in the result cell. I want to make it as blank.

=IFERROR(--SUBSTITUTE(A1,".","",2),"")
