Calculate days excluding some days between dates

Hi All,

Need help in excel formula to calculate days excluding some days between dates.

Lets say Start date in 01/05/2015 (A1) and End Date in 31/12/2015 (B1).

1st Leave date - 31/10/2015 (A3) to 05/11/2015 (B3)
2nd leave date - 28/12/2015 (A4) to 10/01/2016 (B4)

So want to calculate days including Saturday and Sunday between start date and end date minus above leave dates.

Some time leave dates will be more so for that how to calculate in excel 1 formula or VBA code.

Please help.

Hi,

I need result of 227 days.

i.e.difference of days between 01/05/2015 to 31/12/2015 = 245 minus 5 days from 31/10/2015 to 04/01/2016){becoz 05/01/2015 rejoined date} again minus 13 days from 28/12/2015 to 10/01/2016 {becoz 05/01/2015 rejoined date}.

So while calculation of days for the year 01/01/2015 to 31/12/2015, difference of leave days should be minus.
