    return adjacent column date of last non blank cell

    Hi, I have a summary at the bottom of a spreadsheet that I want to show the last date a team member has made an entry in a time tracking sheet i have created.

    Column A contains dates for the days of the week for the given month. Column B lists the task the team member has done. I basically want to show the date from A for the last row that has data in it for the task in column B. Currently I am using:

    It works for my first try, but then when I try to reuse the formula with a different range, it displays #N/A

    Are there certain characters that 'istext' does not like? Is there a better formula I can use for this?

    If that does not work try uploading a small Excel workbook ... that's an actual Excel workbook.

    Are you being literal, like 6 z's in double quotes?
