I am having trouble with returning a specific lookup value. Initially I would copy an entry from "System A" sheet column H, (lets use H2 as an example) and paste it into cell B15 (red shaded cell). I'd then manually match the correct value by seeing if the date associated with H2, in J2, falls between the dates (in columns C and D) that are returned by the multiple lookup formula in cells A17:E21. I would then copy the relevant E Number from column B, and paste it in I2.
However if the works code returns a value of "Workman Feedback Required", then I wish to leave the entry in I2 blank, even if the date criteria matches. These instances would have to be manually investigated. I have highlighted cell H12 as this is an example of that instance.
The multiple entry lookup is derived from "System B", I added this as I have been copying values from H, and pasting them into B15, as an streamlined method, rather than switching sheets and entering the information into a filter each time.
I was wondering if there was a formula, or even a macro that could automate this process for me. I have only given a small sample size as the data contains many thousands of rows. If a macro is suggested I am more than happy to split the data into smaller sets and run the macro several times in order to avoid slowing down the system.
