sum unique values with multiple criteria

Hi folks,

My data is in cell A5:C10. I added a drop down list on cell A2 for the city name and would like to see following calculation in cell B2.Population by the city with unique codes only. For example, the answer for Toronto would be 5,000 and not 10,000. Thanks so much for your help in advance.

AA 5,000 Toronto
AA 5,000 Toronto
AB 3,500 Oakville
AD 2,500 Mississauga
AD 2,500 Mississauga
