    INDEX function not "draggable"?

    Hello,

    I would like to reference cells of a table in another sheet. I do this by using the INDEX function.

    However, when I write =INDEX(table_name;1;1) in A1, and try to "drag" this down, the cells below have exactly the same formula; what I'd like to have, however, is =INDEX(table_name;2;1) in the second row, and so on.

    Is there a way to achieve what I want with INDEX, or is there another function which can deliver this result?

    Note: I do not use the simple reference (something like =Data!A1) on purpose; I would like to use the table name in my reference, as this makes the links less prone to errors, I think.

    Thank you in advance,

    Requin

    Try this:

    =INDEX(table_name;ROW();COLUMN())

    This works perfectly - INDEX is now draggable!
    Thanks a lot!
