Excel Sales worksheet IF, LOOKUP, Data Validation, Multiple conditions

    Hey all!

I am not very proficient in Excel since its been maybe three years since I've last touched it for anything other than basic using basic SUM formulas for personal stuff.
Right now at work I have to do a manager a favour and I want to make a worksheet to calculate the sales our team make every month.
I am stuck on the page I want to have three drop down where info will vary depending on the choices made in the first and second drop down.

The first drop down are rep names, the second drop down is the type of transaction made - if the choice is deposit I want special codes to appear and if the choice is offer I want to be able to enter an amount

I know I need to use the IF formula, and the LOOKUP, I really don't remember much but I know I have a lot of fun doing this and I'd love some help with which formulas to use!

    Thank you

Re: Excel Sales worksheet IF, LOOKUP, Data Validation, Multiple conditions

The first response has been very helpful.
However, I am now stuck here.
If first drop down is NAME, and second drop down is DEPOSIT, the third one must display a set of codes I will chose, if second drop down will select OFFER I need the third one to allow me to enter a number.
    How do I do this?
    Thank you!

If you want enter number manually in DV, uncheck Error Alert (3rd tab in DV). It will allow you to enter whatever you want

    Thank you for you help!
But it does not allow me to create a drop down which is NOT from a list, so if it is NAME and DEPOSIT - I want to see for Example Name1, Name2 drop down, but if it is NAME and OFFER I need it to be blank. Do I have to use LOOKUP? Or what formula?

Without example file and logical description we can talk long time with no good result

    How to:

Attach a sample workbook. (Not a picture!)
Make sure there is just enough data to demonstrate your need. Include a BEFORE (original) sheet and an AFTER (required output) sheet in the workbook if needed to show the process you're trying to complete or automate.
Make sure your desired results are shown, mock them up manually if necessary. Remember, it should reflect original structure of your data.
    Remember to desensitize the data.
    Note:
    • Please do not attach password protected workbooks/worksheets
    • Please do not attach file(s) from exterior servers
    • Please do not attach file(s) with enabled any Workbook Open/Autorun macros!

20 rows of data is enough (probably)

Click on GO ADVANCED and then scroll down to Manage Attachments to open the upload window.
If link is not from FORUM server you have to wait until someone will want to watch the file from an external server.

Red face Re: Excel Sales worksheet IF, LOOKUP, Data Validation, Multiple conditions

    Hey!
Thank you for all the responses so far.
    Here is the excel sheet.
    https://www.scribd.com/document/3400...ple-conditions
As you can see, the second page is where I am stuck, it is the number one thing I need to do before I fix the rest.
    An example will be
When I chose OKSANA, and DEPOSIT, I want INFO to view my two special codes. If it is OKSANA, and Type is OFFER, I want Info to display an empty box I will be able to enter my amount in.
Can someone help Asap please, thank you so so much.
