Index Match to find match date to a range of dates

    Hi all,
I would like to model lease indexations. To do this I allocated certain review dates for individual leases. I thought index match would be the right way to do it but for some reason, the formula does not work properly.

I attached the spreadsheet for your consideration.

    Many thanks,

What formula are you trying and what are your expected results?
One spreadsheet to rule them all. One spreadsheet to find them. One spreadsheet to bring them all and at corporate, bind them.

A picture is worth a thousand words, but a sample spreadsheet is more likely to be worked on.

Maybe better to use a pic.

I want to allocate a specific rent between two dates. In this case the rental values for "rent start" shall be between the dates "rent start" and "1".

However, the formula is only working for # 3 and 4 and not for #1 and 2.

I found a solution: Instead of choosing "zero" as a value if there are no review dates, the value must be replaced with the lease expiry (ie 30-jun-22). Then it works.

happy to hear about other solutions.
