ITEM MEMBER QTY FROM
888556 FRED 10 UK
887223 BOB 22 FRANCE
775223 KEV 3 SPAIN
888776 FRED 50 USA
888224 FRED 28 UK
I have attached the actual sheet also, but what I need to find out using the above data, is how many items, that start with 888 has Fred got for the UK?
I have already tried SUMPRODUCT and variations of COUNTIFS, but I have too much criteria to match

You really do need to amend your thread title.
Think of the sort of question you would ask of Google. Go to thread tools (top of first post) and somewhere in there you can amend it.

=SUMPRODUCT(--(LEFT($A$2:$A$15,3)="888"),--($B$2:$B$15="FRED"),--($D$2:$D$15="UK"))
Thanks for that. But that only counts the number of instances. I need to know a total QTY - apologies if I didn't explain well......
Total QTY:
=SUMPRODUCT(--(LEFT($A$2:$A$15,3)="888"),--($B$2:$B$15="FRED"),--($D$2:$D$15="UK"),$C$2:$C$15)
