    Identifying and return

    Hi

I have an issue which I hope you can help me to fix.

I have column A with 400 different order numbers. In column C I have the same 400 order numbers but listed in a different way. Beside these numbers (in D) I have a date which is the date the order was delivered.
What I'm looking for is a smart way of connecting the column C numbers with column A and hereafter transfer the correct date (D) to column B next to the correct order number.

    Regards
    Hansen

    Re: Identifying and return

Hi Hansen and welcome to the forum,

This sounds like a VLookup problem to me.

In B2 put this formula.. (I assume column B is currently blank)
=Vlookup(B2,C:D,2,0) and then pull the formula down to the bottom of your data.

If you want blanks where there are no matches then try:
    =IFERROR(VLOOKUP(A2,C:D,2,0),"")
One test is worth a thousand opinions.
