Cant navigate using Ctrl + arrow key using data created with TRIM() command

I've got several columns of data that were entered through copy and paste from another sheet.
Those columns whose data was derived from a TRIM() command are now longer navigable using Ctrl + up or down arrow key to reach the next data-containing cell.
I can use that means of navigating through the columns whose data weren't derived from a TRIM() command.

Any ideas on how to correct this very gratefully received!

Re: Cant navigate using Ctrl + arrow key using data created with TRIM() command

Any cell containing formula will be treated as containing data (I.E. even if it's showing blank, it isn't considered blank).

Therefore when you navigate using CTRL + Arrow key, you will likely jump to last row with formula.

    This is intended behavior.

To circumvent this. You can use the source column to navigate, or paste over formula with values.
Another method is to highlight the column and use CTRL+F, look for blank in column (look in values, not formula).

Edit: I might have misread, what do you mean by TRIM() command? Is it via VBA or Formula? If possible upload sample workbook demonstrating your issue (along with how data is brought in)

That's great, thank you so much!
Using filter to show only blank cells, then deleting what's in those cells and turning off the filter solves the problem completely :-)
