Formula to work out a percentage based on a selection from drop down

    Hi,

I need to work out a spreadsheet to list several invoices. The invoices will be split across different business areas but depending on the type of invoice the percentage split will be different. I would like to enter the invoice amount, select the invoice type from a drop down and then have the amounts automatically fill in to each relevant business area. I can do the drop down, and basic calculations but I do not really have any idea how to get the invoice to split correctly.
    Thanks for any help!

Attach a sample workbook. Make sure there is just enough data to demonstrate your need. Include a BEFORE sheet and an AFTER sheet in the workbook if needed to show the process you're trying to complete or automate. Make sure your desired results are shown, mock them up manually if necessary.

    Remember to desensitize the data.

Thank you for your reply. Hopefully a sample should be attached now. Sheet 1 notes how each invoice should be split. I would like to go to sheet 2, select a type from column C then enter the amount into the green box. I have entered into the yellow boxes where I would like a formula to automatically calculate these answers for me, basked on the percentages in sheet 1. Thanks

Try pasting the following formula into sheet2 cell E2 and then drag across to J2:
    Formula: copy to clipboard

You'll notice that it will put X's in cells rather than zeros. The simplest remedy would be to replace X's with zeros on sheet 1. However if it is important to keep sheet 1 as it is and at the same time have cells in sheet 2 display zeros, then use the following formula instead:
    Formula: copy to clipboard
