My problem: I want excel to predict the position of a Moon of Jupiter in the future. For example, I know that on Tuesday, April 4, 2017, at 08 hour:12 minute:24 second the moon will be at it's greatest elongation. I also know that it takes the moon exactly 1.769 days to orbit and move back into that exact same position. I want to write a formula that will calculate the Day, Month, Year, Hour, Minute, second that the moon will be in that position next. So, I want to add 1.769 days to my starting date of Tuesday, April 4, 2017, at 08:12:24.
I have looked at formula that creates a countdown timers and how to predict a future date in Excel, but I don't understand how I would extend that and put it all together to predict not only the day but the hour: minute: second.
Can someone point me the correct direction?
Thank you
