    Help with sheet name refrencing

Hey guys I have two questions about "tab" or "sheet" referencing.

1.) Is there any formula that will extract the first Sheet name in the workbook and if I drag this formula down it will extract the next sheets name in the workbook.

2.) If in cell I11 I have the name "adherence" Is there anyway in cell J11 will reference cell G19 in the sheet titled "adherence" which is the input in cell I11. So essentially if I change the name in cell I11 it will reference another sheet.

    Thank yall so much!

    Hi,

    Taken in order
    1. Yes, as long as saving the workbook in a macro enabled format is ok.
    2. Yes, you can use INDIRECT for that
    =INDIRECT("'"&I11&"'!G19")
    Don

q1 can be done as follows
1 In name manager create a new name. I called it sheetsinbook. In "refers to" put this =TRANSPOSE(GET.WORKBOOK(1))&T(NOW())
2 in any worksheet put this formula =IFERROR(INDEX(MID(sheetsinbook,FIND("]",sheetsinbook)+1,255),ROW(A1),1),"") and copy down

    Rule 08: Cross-posting Without Links

Your post does not comply with Rule 8 of our Forum RULES. Do not cross-post your question on multiple forums without including links here to the other threads on other forums.

Cross-posting is when you post the same question in other forums on the web. The last thing you want to do is waste people's time working on an issue you have already resolved elsewhere. We prefer that you not cross-post at all, but if you do (and it's unlikely to go unnoticed), you MUST provide a link (copy the url from the address bar in your browser) to the cross-post.

Expect cross-posted questions without a link to be closed and a message will be posted by the moderator explaining why. We are here to help so help us to help you!

Read this to understand why we ask you to do this, and then please edit your first post to include links to any and all cross-posts in any other forums (not just this site).

No further help to be offered, please, until the OP has complied with this request.
