Finance Formula

Hi there,

I was wondering if someone could help me, I run a small charity and use Excel to log my finances and have a small problem with trying to create or find a formula.

Basically I have several projects that I have ring fenced funds for and I want a formula that will sum up cells but that will depend on the + or - nature of the amount. Is there a way to sum up amounts without having to change the formula from + to - or the other way around ad for it to do it for me.
