    Formula help please

    Hi All,

This is my first post on here so I hope that I get this right first time

I have query where i'm trying to get a cell "recommended tariff" to auto populate with a tariff if the cells below it contain the word True.

I've attached a screen shot for visibility.

e.g As A32 contains the word True it should return "Tariff 1" as a recommended tariff. Only 1 of the cells under each of the tariffs would contain the word True. so I just need it to return the tariff if any of the cells below are true.

    Many thanks,

    Ben

You don't say where you want the value returned to (i.e. which cell).

You also state that: "Only 1 of the cells under each of the tariffs would contain the word True". I read this to mean that in each Tariff column there could be only one cell which is True, but in your picture there is only one cell from any of the Tariff columns which contains True.

It would help if you attached a sample Excel workbook.

To do this, click on Go Advanced (below the Edit Window) while you are composing a reply, then scroll down to and click on Manage Attachments and the Upload window will open. Click on Browse and navigate to (and double-click) the file icon that you want to attach, then click on Upload and then on Close this Window to return to the Edit window. When you have finished composing your post, click on Submit Post.

Please note that the Paperclip icon does not work.

    Hope this helps.

    Pete
