INDEX/MATCH Not Working For Any Text With 2 Same Consecutive Letters?

    Hi,

I have attached my Spread Sheet and trimmed it down to just the problem i have.

In Column C i have Data which i import from a Web Page,

In Column K i have an OFFSET formula that looks for the text "NR:" in Column C and Displays this in the Column the same Row down its shown in Column C,

In Column I i have an INDEX/MATCH formula that displays the row BELOW the Cell containing "NR:" in Column C. It does this by using Column I as a helper Column and i need it to continue to work the same way if at all possible.

The problem i have and as you can see from the attachment is that Cells containing 2 consecutive identical letter below the cell NR: in Column C are not been returned in Column I like all the rest.

How can i fix this issue?

Thanks guys, hope you can help

Your current setup for this process seems very roundabout. Why use an OFFSET formula in column K - why not just reference column C directly? Why use an INDEX/MATCH in column I if it's only indexing one cell (for all intents and purposes)?

What are you actually trying to accomplish? I also cannot find an instance where your current setup fails - can you point me to it on the sheet?

Point me to a cell reference where you have a problem...

    Delete column K.

in cell I2, use this, copied down:

    =IF(C1="NR:",C2,"")

..Cells containing 2 consecutive identical letter below the cell NR:
Please explain: do you mean if there is more than 1 non-runner?

Thanks for taking the time guys!

I have used Glenn's formula and its working great. I didnt think i would be able to get away with deleting my helper column but i have tweaked it and now this is much simpler!

    Thanks again for your help...

Thanks Glenn for once again helping me out!
