    Ranking ' Tie Breakers'

    Hello Excel Forum Team!

Looking forward to getting your help with the following:

I have created a ranking and used the "rank" formula to determine which associate is best. The ranking has been placed in column S in the excel file and it depends on the total scorecard value placed in column R. Since there are a lot of repeated values I would like to add 3 "Tie breakers" to it. So, if I have 10 associates showing as number 1 I would determine the best with the following:

    * The associate with the highest value in the column " QA Attainment" then if still a tie...
    * The associate with the highest value in the column " AHT Attainment" then if still a tie...
    * The associate with the highest value in the column " CSAT Attainment"

I am attaching the file as a reference

Thank you so much in advance for your help

    Re: Ranking ' Tie Breakers'

The easiest way to do tiebreakers is usually to build in your tie-breaking values as tiny decimals. For instance, change the formula in R5 to:

    =SUM(Q5,O5,M5)+0.00000001*F5+0.000000000001*E5+0.0000000000000001*I5

...and fill down through column R. The value in R5 will still show "110.00%" due to your formatting, but the actual number will be 110.0001080103%, which incorporates your tiebreakers. You can leave your ranking formula in column S alone. Take a look at the attachment to see if it returns the desired results:
