Formular for counting

Hi friends i have the data in the table i will attach it which needs to count the followings
in column c i need the number of me and ke as i putted manual above in c14 to c15 coloured green
in column f i need the number of age ranges from 1957 to 1998 me and ke as i putted manual above in f14 t0 f23 coloured green
in column j4 to j11 i need the number of education ranges from iiia to masters me and ke as i putted manual above in i14 t0 i21 coloured green
in column l i need the number of salary ranges from tgts. B1 to tgts. I1 me and ke as i putted manual above in l14 t0 l29 coloured green

in F

=COUNTIFS($C$4:$C$11,E14,$F$4:$F$11,">="&DATEVALUE("01/01/1957"),$F$4:$F$11,"<="&DATEVALUE("31/12/1960"))

Change criteria for other years and ME/KE

in I

=COUNTIFS($C$4:$C$11,H14,$J$4:$J$11,G14)

and similar formula in L

this is similar with John's solution but with SUMPRODUCT()
It could have been a lot easier if you did not use merged cells
