    Conditional Formatting with Criteria

    Hi Experts,

    I have excel sheet with multiple nonblank and blank cells. I need cell color to be highlighted when we enter the value in empty cells. Attached the sample input and manually mocked output in sample file. Please help me on this!!

    I don't understand.... Do you want ONLY blank cells to be highlighted?

    If so, use:

    =ISBLANK(A1) as the Conditional Formatting formula.

    you currently have a conditional format rule set as "Format only cells with" NO blanks...just change that to "Blanks" instead

    Thanks for your help, Glenn and Humdingaling. What i created is wrong. I want blank cells to be highlighted when they keying (modifying anything in blank cells) something in blank cells. Hope, you understand.

    Maybe this is what you want (two options for you...). Enable macros on opening as this requires VBA...
