    Conditional Formatting

    Hello again,

Here is what I am trying to do and I have included a spreadsheet below with an example for your reference. I'm not ever sure if this can be done, but I figured I would ask.

I am trying to use conditional formatting to highlight the first two rows of every four columns. (You will see what I mean in the attachment if that is not clear). I wasn't sure if I could use the formula in conditional formatting to say something like =$A1:$D2 & 4*_____ in order to achieve this.

    Any help would be appreciated!

    Thank you

    Re: Conditional Formatting

    Try this:

Highlight rows 1 and 2 > Conditional Formatting > New Rule > Use a formula

    =MOD(COLUMNS($A1:A1)-1,8)<4

Format: Fill color of your choice > OK > OK
