# How to Rank a Supplier Rate Table

1. ## How to Rank a Supplier Rate Table

Evening all,

I've read numerous threads on this but I'm struggling to understand it sufficiently enough to apply it to my workbook. Basically I've got a table with a schedule of rates for different suppliers and I just need to rank them in ascending order. Simples right?!?!

Example attached.

Can't you simply sort the table on column C? If you want to use a formula instead, try these:

F4 =SMALL(\$C\$4:\$C\$29,ROWS(A\$1:A1))
E4 =INDEX(B\$4:B\$29,SMALL(IF(C\$4:C\$29=F4,ROW(C\$4:C\$29)-(ROW(C\$4)-1)),COUNTIF(F\$4:F4,F4))) Ctrl Shift Enter
