When adding text from Column A and B into C it does not work.
I am using the =(A2&" "&B2) and when I click enter nothing happens. Both columns are formulated as text. What could be causing this?

Who knows without seeing the workbook?
You could try ditching the brackets:
=A2&" "&B2
