    Flash Fill Help

    Hi!

I'm trying to create a tallied version of a log of quotes per employee for our company reports. I have the following formula which pulls the numbers I need and am trying to transfer things down by date but it doesn't seem to want to flash fill and update the way I want it to, and per employee, this could take quite a while if it needs to be done individually. This is an example of what I'm trying to do:
    =COUNTIFS(A:A,"1/4",B:B,"*Employee Name*", D:D,"*Quote*")
    =COUNTIFS(A:A,"1/5",B:B,"*Employee Name*", D:D,"*Quote*")
    =COUNTIFS(A:A,"1/6",B:B,"*Employee Name*", D:D,"*Quote*")

Please let me know if there's something I can do to make this auto-fill. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

    David

    Try this:

    =COUNTIFS(A:A,"1/"&ROWS(A$1:A4),B:B,"*Employee Name*", D:D,"*Quote*")

You are the best thanks!!! One more quick question. I'm trying to do this by employee now and have each on their own sheet. Where would I add sheet 1 to that formula? Thanks again!

    Re: Flash Fill Help

If the data is on sheet 1 and the formula is on another sheet then you would put 'Sheet 1'! in front of the reference to that data. For example the following formula would pull data from columns A, B and D of sheet 1:
    Formula: copy to clipboard
