formula not working #N/A

    Hi,

I have Vlookup formulas in Cell A1 & B1 which is showing the result as #N/A due to data not available in the range I selected.

Since both A1 & B1 is showing result as #/NA, i need to know whether both these cells are having same results are not. To know the result i will use the formula

as A1=B1, but its now showing as true or false instead its showing #N/A only. Please help how to get the True or false result for these cases.

    Re: formula not working #N/A

Will you please attach a sample Excel workbook?

    1. Make sure that your sample data are REPRESENTATIVE of your real data. The use of unrepresentative data is very frustrating and can lead to long delays in reaching a solution.

    2. Make sure that your desired solution is also shown (mock up the results manually).

    3. Make sure that all confidential data is removed or replaced with dummy data first (e.g. names, addresses, E-mails, etc.).

    4. Try to avoid using merged cells as they cause lots of problems.

Unfortunately the attachment icon doesn't work at the moment, so to attach an Excel file you have to do the following: just before posting, scroll down to Go Advanced and then scroll down to Manage Attachments. Now follow the instructions at the top of that screen.

Please pay particular attention to point 2 (above): without an idea of your intended outcomes, it is often very difficult to offer appropriate advice.

It would probably be better to fix teh errors in the 1st place, but this will return T or F for you...
    =AND(ISERROR(F5),ISERROR(G5))
    1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)

    Try this:

    =IF(ISNA(F5)=ISNA(G5),"Not available","")
