    (Negative) Feet and inches to Decimal feet

    Hello everyone,

    I did quite a bit of googling but couldn't find anything that fit my needs, so i'm turning to you.

    I am looking for a formula to convert foot and inch measurements to decimal feet. The measurements may or may not be negative.

    It needs to Identify if there is a minus sign and transfer it over. Then Find the numbers before the " ' "and transfer the whole feet over, then take the numbers after the " ' " and divide by 12.

    -68'0" =-68.0
    -76'1" =-76.0833
    -239'9" =-239.75
    71'3" =71.25
    70'11" =70.91667
    0'1" = 0.0833


    There will not be any values outside of this format, I already run the measurements through a different formula to round them to the nearest inch and output them as so.
