    Averageif formula

    Hi,

i am struggling to get this formula to work. i have a table of data and i want to get an average score. the table would look like this

    column 1 column 2
    name score
    mark 10
    mark 5
    john 10
    mark 9
    mark 10
    paul 6
    paul 10
    john 6
    john 10

What i want is a formula which would average the score of each person. its probably simple but any help would be appreciated

    Re: Averageif formula

Hi, please help, I have this group of filtered data which I need to get the average excluding NA and negative numbers.
My initial formula is =AVERAGE(IF(SUBTOTAL(9,OFFSET(FG$11:FG$500,ROW(FG$11:FG$500)-MIN(ROW(FG$11:FG$500)),,1)),--(FG$11:FG$500<>"NA"),--(FG$11:FG$500>0))) but unfortunately, not working.

    Sample data:
    24
    12
    -42895
    NA
    NA
