I would recommend a basic introduction to percent problems tutorial -- maybe this one: http://www.purplemath.com/modules/percntof.htm

    Re: Cal Percent of Cell?

I cannot understand what you are trying to do in your spreadsheet. Your first row shows:
    200 -- 10 -- 20%
What is the relationship between these three numbers? The closest relationship I can see is 20 is 10% of 200 (20=0.1*200) or maybe 20 is 200% of 10 (20=2*10), but those don't really fit.

I think what you are missing is still the basic arithmetic concept of percent. As explained in the tutorial,

I cannot see how your examples fit into this basic English or math sentence, so I think what you are missing is how to translate your examples into the basic concepts of percent.

This is so basic that I am going to be stubborn and make you figure this out for yourself. If you put your last post (what is 10% of 200?) into purplemath's statement that I quoted (this is some percent of that), then translate into an algebra statement, what do you get (hint -- when the problem is solved, you should get one of the two algebra statements I wrote in post #5)?
