Question Help Simplifying Formula

As the Title suggests, I need help simplifying this formula. A little background:
This formula is looking up a minimum of 3 criteria to sum hours from another Table.
First it is matching that Today is between 2 possible dates of training period 1 and training period 2 and only summing those hours in the second table that meet the training period being assessed.
Next it is only summing those hours that are 1 of 2 options, Live or Simulated.
Last is only summing hours that have a corresponding PID associated with them. The PID is a unique identifier that corresponds with a person.

To be clear, the formula works, I am just hoping for a simplified version with the hopes of finding a way to implement it within SharePoint.
You should also note that I use this formula several times within the same cell with slightly varying criteria, up to 4 times, making the formula extremely long.

If a sample is required I can build one.

Thank you in advance.

Re: Help Simplifying Formula

1st thing I would probably do is create a helper column next to the data that will pull out only those values that meet all (or most) of the criteria - then sum those. That should make the formula much simpler.

If you want a better answer, I suggest that you upload a small (clean) sample workbook (not a pic) of what you are working with, and what your expected outcome would look like.
To attach a file to your post,
click advanced (next to quick post),
scroll down until you see "manage file",
click that and select "add files" (top right corner).
click "select files" find your file, click "open" click "upload" click 'done" bottom right. click "submit reply"

Once the upload is completed the file name will appear below the input boxes in this window.
You can then close the window to return to the new post screen.
1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)
2. If your question is resolved, mark it SOLVED using the thread tools
3. Click on the star if you think someone helped you
