Hi.

I'm needing some help with a formula please and was hoping someone maybe able to help

Column A is a list of dates, some duplicates
Column B is a list of names, some duplicates

I'm trying to get a result in C1 that shows how many times a name appears in a particulate month.

For example, In the month of June, this names appears x amount of times.

I can either reference a cell that has the name or happy to type it into the formula.

In the future I'd also like be able to do weeks or years.

Attach a sample workbook. Make sure there is just enough data to make it clear what is needed. Include a BEFORE sheet and an AFTER sheet in the workbook if needed to show the process you're trying to complete or automate. Make sure your desired results are demonstrated, mock them up manually if needed. Remember to desensitize the data.

Click on GO ADVANCED and use the paperclip icon to open the upload window.

Sorry, also, if I wanted to add another criteria how would that be possible please?

I've added a column C that states Yes or no by each name.

For example, In the month of June, this names appears x amount of times that has Yes in col C?

Hi. The paperclip upload feature doesn't work - I've tried Safari and Chrome.

Unfortunately the attachment icon doesn't work at the moment, so to attach an Excel file you have to do the following: just before posting, scroll down to Go Advanced and then scroll down to Manage Attachments. Now follow the instructions at the top of that screen.
