How to display a cell's text in all other cells

Hello! I am new here and if it is ok, I would like to ask for some little help.

I saw once in an Excel sheet that everything I typed there was automatically copied and displayed in other cells from the same sheet and also another sheets.
Can you please tell me how to do that?
All I want is to type some pure text and this text should be automatically copied and displayed in the next column and/or rows
    I even attached a file.

    Thank you very much!

Click on A5 using the left mouse key and keep the mouse key depressed.

Move the mouse to B5 keeping the mouse key depressed.

Move the mouse to B13 keeping the mouse key depressed.

    Release the mouse key.

Click into the formula box at the top of excel, this is the box displaying your text.

Press these three keys in sequence keeping them depressed.

    Ctrl Shift Enter

There seems to be a problem if I introduce a symbol (via Insert - Symbols).
The symbol is diplayed in the original cell but in the ~teleported~ ones it displays only a number (number 5 in my case).
    What should I do?

    That does not make sense!!

Will you please attach a SMALL sample Excel workbook (10-20 rows of data is usually enough)? Please don't attach a picture of one (no-one will want to re-type all your stuff before starting).

Unfortunately the attachment icon doesn't work at the moment. So, to attach an Excel file you have to do the following: Just before posting, scroll down to Go Advanced and then scroll down to Manage Attachments. Now follow the instructions at the top of that screen.

    This is what I did:
    - established georgia font
    - put 4 lines of text into A3 cell and every line starts with the empty ssquare symbol
    - copied the ~formula~ below and in the next column, BUT the symbols do not show (instead of empty square symbol appears the number 5)
    See the file attached.

Exactly where did you find the symbol that you put into that cell?

I can see your problem, but can not reproduce it!!

Found it... Youre problem is that you're mixing your fonts in a single cell. Wingdings and Georgia. To fix this, use the square from the geometric shapes subset in font Georgia. then it's fine.

Yep, that was it. Thank you so much!
I think the only question that remains for now is that IS POSSIBLE that the ~teleported cells~ to keep the formatting from the original cell? Because it does not... If my original text is wrapped, in the teleported cells is not wrapped. I have to wrapp it manually.

If you're wanting a nice rectangle, click on the cell and drag it across and down form the source cell. It'll keep the source formatting.
